In order to go about removing malware, you first will need to know what malware is. Basically, malware is a malicious piece of software that has been designed for no other intention than to damage or spy on your computer without your knowledge. There are several different types of malware that you will want to remove from your computer.

Removing malware from your computer should include removing the following:

1. Adware is something that will show pop up ads for products and is more annoying than harmful. 2. A virus, trojan or worm is also considered to be a form of malware. 3. Ransome ware is meant to lock up your computer so that it can extort money from you. 4. Spyware monitors and records all of your keyboard actions, Internet activity and personal details.

You will know that it is time for removing malware whenever your computer slows down a lot. Your computer may also act erratic and be unstable.

So your computer has been infected with malware. You are probably looking for a good and cheap way to get rid of it. But before you download a free malware remover I will caution you about a couple things first.

A LOT of free malware/spyware/adware removers are in fact dangerous and malicious programs themselves! They operate under the disguise they will eliminate malware but just install more onto your system. Consider this – the #1 reason malware gets on your computer in the first place is through free and low cost programs installed on your computer. You know the saying “there is no free lunch”? Well that quote also sometimes applies to the free software market. Software requires money to develop and in order to recoup the costs companies will pay the developer to place their targeted advertisements (adware) inside the program. So when you install it, suddenly you start receiving those annoying pop up ads. Even worse, some software contains spyware (a form of malware) which will simply steal information from your computer. Download these programs at your own risk!

Many free malware remover programs lack the infrastructure and support to fight new malware threats. Unfortunately in today’s anti malware industry the software is largely reactive. This is the nature of the industry as new malware threats are constantly being created and evolving. The only way to stay on top of them is through a company that will provide constant updates and increases to their threat database. Many free malware removers don’t have this in place and very quickly become obsolete.

If malware is becoming a serious problem with your computer I would caution you not to take it lightly. You need to fight fire with fire and that means using the most powerful and sophisticated malware/spyware/adware removal programs on the internet. I speak from experience as my entire computer and hard drive were destroyed by various spyware and malware threats. This included gigabytes of music and other media files that took me years to acquire. If I had spent a few dollars on a decent malware remover this problem would have never happened. Personally, I won’t let that happen again.

I visited another client with a spyware infection… This ladyuses a dialup connection & eventually couldn’t do any webbrowsing.Funnily enough, she had norton internet security and antivirus running, but this malware ran rings around it… thesecond computer in weeks with norton helpless at stoppingspyware.Anyway, I spend minutes doing the usual: disable malwarestartups within the registry, startup folder, etc. but every fewminutes, a web page would spontaneously pop up anyway… Atleast the computer was mostly working, but if I left it as is,it would have gotten worse over time anyway.Client agrees I can take the computer & work on it from theoffice. After a lot of investigation, I find I’m dealing with"lookme"… & all the forums are full of helpfull suggestions, none of which seem to work for my particular situation… runprograms like adaware, ewido, spybotSD, etc, start in windowssafe mode, blah blah blah.No matter what I did, the spyware was re-appearing….
