Can someone please tell me how i can get this virus off my computer? i was just downloading some files from the internet then my comp started to get slower. my antivirus software says that a “downloader” virus was detected. how can i get rid of it? is there anyway i can do it w/o having to buy something?

This is the message that i get “Norton Antivirus has detected & removed a virus from your computer.”
It gives me the object name, virus name: Downloader, & action taken: The file was automatically deleted.
When I click OK on the dialog box another virus alert dialog box comes up with the same message, but with a different object name.
I have updated my virus definitions & restarted my computer in safe mode having disabled system restore. While in safemode I have ran a full system scan. The “downloader” virus showed up and I deleted it. And when i returned to normal mode, the message that I’m talking about pops up everytime.
Any suggestions on what to do?
