Using safemode actually makes MBAM less effective.

Only lame security programs need safemode.

We have direct disk access for both detection and direct malware file corruption backed up by a delete on reboot driver. Both rip through all known malware in memory or not.

Well you have to go to safemode with networking to download MBAM. If you try to download it on normal mode, viruses will hijack the internet and you can’t do anything, except for safe mode with networking…

Safemode is fine for downloading , I have no issue with that .

From there reboot into regular mode and do the scan . Also if you cant update in either mode you might have to empty your hosts file first , they like to block our update servers .

BTW , I am one of the developers , nosirrah is the reverse of my last name , check the about tab ;)

I have a really bad infection, malware or a worm or virus or whatever the fuck. It’s a backdoor trojan or something. I’ve gone through a few scans, including one from Geek Squad, and none were able to remove it! Is Malwarebytes good enough to take out this kind of thing?

Did you download too much programs or at least running to much programs? Or you don’t have enough ram to run the programs? Or is it just a virus malwarebytes can’t detect?

what could help you is go on task manager and click on processes and click “end process” if you find the vundo thing.and also if that doesn’t work go on the control panel and click “uninstall of remove programs” and look for the vunda virus/file thingy and click on it then simply click “remove
    alrightee bye!

you do know that most Trojans change the registry and will just re-install themselves if manually removed through the rouge software you got it from the only way to 100% remove a virus is using a legit anti-virus like Avast,AVG, and Malwarebytes
